Back-to-School Mega Fest

This year the Back to School Mega Fest was sponsored by UTD (United Teachers of Dade). The event took place at the U.S. Century Bank Arena at Florida International University. Thousands attended! The event attempted  to reach out to the community and create strong bonds so we can all work together to improve public education. They had all kinds of activities. Some included fun activities for kids, free concessions, give-a-ways, entertainment, guest speakers, and more.

Miami Photo Booth Party was brought on to entertain those who attended and help create a few smiles. We had a great time with all the people who visited the photo booth, and they seemed to enjoy having their photo taken with the fun props that were available.

United Teachers of Dade realizes that the community is our first resource in achieving student success. If everyone gets involved in the issues our teachers face, we can grow as a union to make sure our teachers get treated fairly. This event brought them a little closer to their objective.
