were married at the beautiful Cruz Building in downtown Coconut Grove this past Saturday. Preparations started early in the day, and everything needed to be no less than perfect. Guests began arriving slowly at about 5 pm, filling up the first floor parlor of the Cruz Building. An elegant gazebo was constructed just for the occasion at the front of the room where the vowels would be exchanged.
The second floor with the huge bar and private sitting booths served as the perfect location for the cocktail hour. Friends and family gathered there joyfully right after the ceremony while wine and appetizers were served.
Finally, all the guests went up to the third level for the main reception which included the formal dinner, as well as the first dances and toasts. The party took off just after dinner with dance music and dancing in the large balcony. The Open Air photo booth located in a nook adjacent to the elevator was a hit (as usual!). Guests loved to stand in front of the camera for the silliest of poses. At one time we had the bride and about ten of her friends trying to take a giant group photo. Being able to achieve it was half the fun. Good times!
